This is huge and will be massive if people catch on.
the combination of the GH4 4k, a speedbooster and vintage anamorphic produces something quite extraordinary, it takes off alot of teh "video" quality of the image. . Eduardo angels post is really helpful but there are a few things i might add. GH4 is small there are also some very powerful anamorphic adapters that are small from factor also (Bolex, etc), its possible and recomended to shoot a much lighter set up to take advantage of this..
The letus and slr adpaters do work , and should be commended but they are not in the same league as some of the classics.
Its not really that big of a deal composing shots while image is squeezed, it doesn't really affect composition.
2. focusing is a nightmare, (ask ridiley scott ),one thing some people are unaware of focus is nigh impossible at wider stops on some anamorphic lenses.
3. a lot of anamorphics change the squeeze proportions depending on focus range, personally prefer to stretch by eye in post.
3. EOSHD is the primary source for low budget anamorphic info.

A couple of extra points in case it is of use to someone getting into this.
Yes Focus will be different in infa red but less widely known there are certain random lenses that are incapable of focusing with IR modified cameras. I lost a lot of time before i discovered this.
There are a few companies that will modify your standard DSLR to do this its not expensive but its permanent. I have had several done very happy with the results. I shoot both landscape and fashion with them. The effect on skin is very beautiful , the IR corrects many surface defects but i do tend to avoid eyes up close.
