This is pretty cool! I'm so glad more camera companies are starting to saturate this lower end market with cool stuff. Much needed!
I think the two major things that will keep me in the BMPCC camp are the speedboost option to allow for full frame, and the ability to record to SSDs (the biggest time and money saver ever. Plus it just makes sense). Oh, and the BRAW :)
Haha wow, you're so far away from the point it's... mindboggling. Let's see... How can I put this more simply?
I guess all I'll say is when non-males say they feel underrepresented or discriminated against, especially in a historically male-dominated field, just listen to them. Believe them. Be kind and be supportive.
Every person has a hard time getting through life at times, but in this case, it's not you. Being aware of your privilege and its effect on the problem is so important, and since you can't really grasp the problem as shown in your meandering comments it's best to just step aside.
It's okay to let this article be not about you. Peace out.
Haha no, this has nothing to do with censorship my guy. This has to do with either helping or being part of the problem. The way you're going about it is being part of the problem. That's what we're getting at.
Don't worry, white guys like you need not worry about ever being censored.
It's funny how there is an article about women's representation and the first three comments we see are from "Javier", "Luca", and "Mark"... Just the male heroes we need giving their unsupportive 2 cents on this non-male issue.
Especially Marky... this guy again... out of your many, many comments on this site you're never really kind or supportive to anyone or anything. Why do you even come on this site when it seems to do nothing but hurt your little ego?
In this case, I strongly disagree. But it seems like you already have your mind made up on a film you haven't even seen yet.
So, I guess all I'll say is... It's all going to be okay, my man. Everyone is going to be just fine. No need to get this worked up over a woman making her art.
I mean... Shouldn't the fact that box office earnings, paid campaigns, and major studio backing play any role in this rewarding of artistic talent be the red flag here? Shouldn't that be what's so "shocking" about this?
Andrea Riseborough's nom shouldn't be "shocking", she was freaking great in this role!
