Image wise I'll put the image from my Leica SL hybrid using Leica glass and recorded on an ATOMOS recorder up against just about anything Arri or RED puts out, for less than half the price.
At this price better to rent it when you need it.
On paper this camera should be an amazing option for Cinematographers who also take still pics. However with a mirror and without an electronic viewfinder and no ability to follow focus while shooting and have a log file option it is really a lot of trouble to shoot with, especially at the high price. And probably the most serious drawback is the inability to get a clean feed off the sensor for recording with a high quality outboard video recorder. Pentax should have a look at Leica's SL and S models to see how it should be done. This is an excellent still camera but for Cinematographers looking for a high end hybrid camera its video capability is basically just a gimmick.
The LEICA SL2 blows all these cameras out of the water.
