Best website builder for filmmakers?

I would say use wordpress. It's free. Its plug-ins are mostly free. Its themes are free.

(there are some paid plug-ins and themes but they are not offered by wordpress themselfes and of course you don't have to use them)

It's mostly easy to use. Very easy if you just want to make a blog.
But it's also very customizable if you want to do some scripting with php and html.

I have used two services Yola and Weebly. Both were at the free version. I have switched to Weebly mostly because it seems to have a much easier interface. Everything is drag and drop. There is a Youtube widget as well as the ability to embed videos into the site. The downside to Weebly is that you have to have a paid membership for a custom site search box.

I'm actually a big fan of Wix. It's not perfect, but I think you get out what you put in. It's incredibly easy to use and pretty customizable.

With that being said, wordpress is very flexible. But, it's also somewhat difficult to do anything that diverges from the theme your using. Say you wanted to change something specific or move something that the theme didn't allow for. You'd either have to spend a lot of time trying to work around it. Or, you could hire someone to code it for you.

Personally, for my "business card" website, I use wix, since I can easily change it when I need to and it's very simple.

For my music library with e-commerce and membership functions, I use wordpress and another music library specific piece of software to do the heavy lifting. However, I had to hire someone to set up the wordpress site because it was outside of my abilities to get it the way i wanted.

If I had just wanted a simple site with few alterations, though, a wordpress theme would probably have worked without needing to hire anyone.

as far as I heard Wix is not perfect win terms of SEO
Wordpress is the easiest way but you'd still need a developer or a web studio to help you at some points
