Hello Reader
I started Radar, a pioneering music video commissioning platform in 2006. It was the first of its kind and Radar is now an award-winning service, with offices in London, New York and LA. We scout the best new independent directors worldwide and work with major labels, independent labels and artist managers to help excellent music videos get made.
Last century I was a promoter at legendary Sheffield venue The Leadmill. I started designing posters and ended up running the show with some lovely people, promoting arts events, packed-out indie gigs and pioneering club nights on the newly expanding House music scene.
My next career was in London, freelancing in television with the BBC and leading independents including Chrysalis, Diverse and Wall to Wall. I worked with some great people on many award-winning TV documentary and factual entertainment programmes. I also co-produced a French/English feature film, with R&S Records.
I've an MBA, specialising in marketing. I'm a regular speaker about music video, and a jury member for many music video awards, including AIM and the UKMVAs.
I love music videos. I love curating. I love networking. Love loads of things.
Hi Ryan
Fantastic site! I sometimes do guest lecturing for graduate film & media schools in the UK. I mentioned this site at the last lecture I did and got rave reviews from the students! Congratulations (and congrats on getting your film away too :)
Great tips. I love 'first, only & last' - very good copywriting suggestions.
What a brilliant idea. That would keep my partner happy for many hours (and I would read a book meanwhile :)
Love it - our attitudes to sex are going to be SO revolutionised by the internet.
By the way, the awards are open to unsigned and newly signed filmmakers worldwide
