"Dance in Flight: The Film" Official Trailer - Any thoughts? What do you guys think?
Hey Guys!
This is my first real post on the site in a while. Been in my edit cave for the past year finishing up my first feature. We are still in the final stages of post but are nearing completion and screenings!
Would love some feedback on the first trailer!

The film is our own take on a narrative. There is still character driven dialogue but it is a very dance heavy film that uses dance as the main means to tell each characters story as well. It was adapted from a stage production at the beginning of 2013.
We were able to produce the film after a very successful kickstarter ($66k) last may and for the budget I feel like it turned out pretty darn good.

Looks like the art department nailed it!
Just my opinion, but I would have liked to see a little more of the narrative make it's way into the trailer. I'm certainly not a dance person so maybe some of it was inferred, and went over my head.

Thanks for the feedback! Thats what I'm hoping to do with the second trailer that I will putting together in the next month. Our idea with the first release was to really catch the eye of the dance community as they have shown to be our biggest audience/core demo at the moment.

I love it! The use of color is really dynamic and impressionistic. And I definitely agree that the art department did a kick-ass job. Great work!

I love dance and your trailer was very well shot but it gave me no idea that it was saying--a trailer for a "narrative movie?" a documentary? You mention it's "your own take on a narrative". Hopefully there's some "conflict" and a story. Good luck with it.
