This is why I like capitalism. If Go Pro dies, something better will take it's place. Or if Go Pro competes with their competitors and makes better quality cameras for cheaper, they'll be back on top.

You could try pushing everything a bit more warm, lower the contrast or bring up the shadows. I'm not sure if this is common knowledge but one thing I only learned recently was a plug in that comes with after effects under effect, synthetic aperture, called SA color finesse. It gives you a lot more freedom to color grade in after effects. Good luck
