Shooting through or at a door way help

Hi, my project I'm working on involves quite a few shots that between two characters on either side of a door way. I'm planning quite a few reverse angles and close ups of the two guys along with needing some medium shots. The trouble I seem to be having is figuring out how to get the shots in the tight space (the location is a front door, one guy inside, one out) so there's not much room for both the cam op and actor/s to be working in. If anyone has any tips or tricks on how to film in this tricky location i would love to hear it. If you want some more info feel free to ask.
Thanks

I'm assuming your problem is getting a good angle in the space? You can always 'cheat', and have the actors stand more off center, on their reverses. That'll give you more space to work, and since you're getting mid shots and closer, the audience shouldn't be able to tell that they're in different spots. You can even shoot it clean, and only film with one actor at a time. If you edit properly, it'll seem as if they were both speaking to each other face to face.
