Guy McLoughlin I really respect you for your reply and I do appreciate this effort from your end though to be honest you have really missed the real question :)
Question was "Shall I get G7 as a newbie and after a year (or sooner) when GH5 is out then will opt for that while being more prepared rather then just jumping for GH4 now and like many not being able to fully understand and utilize its true potential?"
:) I hope I have now cleared my self.
Alex Rollinson first of all thank you so very very very much for such an informative reply, honestly buddy you have opened my mind and your reply is very helpful, thanks.
To be honest I have used Crop sensor camera of Canon called T4i / 650D for roughly 18 to 24 months so you can imagine that I am not so expert on such things.
From the start I was very focused on buying vintage lenses both prime and zoom (got more primes which are converted to EF mount) because the Canon Red Ring L lenses were too expensive for me to buy.
The most expensive new lens that I bought is Sigma 18 35 1.8 and after that Minolta Rokkor MD 50 1.2, both in EF mount, last one was converted to EF mount.
T4i/650D is good beginner level cam and if you are really into such stuff then it will take few months to grow out of it and some how GH4 suits my needs or better to say the over hyped 4K is too tempting for me which GH4 offers :)
Really thanks Taylor Armerding, I appreciate your friendly reply. Thanks.
To be honest the more I am looking into 7D Mark ii the more I am thinking to go for 6D (due to its low light capapilities) which is right now of cheaper then 7D Mii though in my experience (whatever I have read or seen in videos) that Full Frame images are a bit softer then MFT and Crop Sensor images.
Also today morning when I wokeup then without thinking I started to bid on a few used Black Magic Pocket Cameras, lets see if I will win something good or not :)
Once again thanks for the reply.
Really thanks for your repply and advice, I will definitely look into it. Thanks.
I may only have one or two Canon EF lenses, rest are 3rd party with factory installed EF Mounts or locally customised FE mounts though still its a pain to for a whole new different mount.
Thanks.
hmmm no replies? :(
no worries.
Its definitely time to update this list, I know books are books which are the jewels of forever though I am sure we can add a few more jewels in this dazzling list.
